Jenny: Father… did you always know how to sail a Boat?

Edward: The Jackdaw is a Ship, Jenny. Not a Boat.

Jenny: But did you always know?

Edward: No. No, I learned after leaving Bristol.

Jenny: After you left Mother?

Edward: Well, I didn’t leave your… I didn’t leave without saying goodbye, that is. It was an Arrangement, you see? Between your Mother and me.

Jenny: She said you left her. She said you always talked about sailing a Boat and making Money in the New World.

Edward: I did always want to Sail a Ship, that’s true. But not for a Lark. To support us. To take care of her… and you.

Jenny: Not me. Mother said you didn’t know about me. She said you wrote only once a Year, and that she never knew where to find you.

Edward: That’s all true. And I’m sorry for that. If I had known earlier… I don’t know. I might have come Home. I hope that I would have.

Jenny: Well… you were busy. That’s what I think.

Edward: I was. But… that wouldn’t have mattered.

Jenny: Can I steer your Boat?

Edward: Boat? I seen no Boat here. Do you?

Jenny: Ugh. I mean Ship, obviously. I don’t see the Difference anyway.

Edward: Ah! It’s a very simple One, Jenny. A Ship can carry a Boat, but a Boat cannot carry a Ship.

Jenny: Why, then everything is a Ship, large and small, but for my Toy Boat. The one I take into the Bath with me.

Edward: That’s a clever Way of seeing it.

Is it hard to talk about Caroline, Jenny? About your Mother?

Jenny: Hmmm… no. She passed some Years ago. I miss her, but it’s all right.

Edward: Was she in Pain?

Jenny: I don’t know. I don’t think so. She was very happy for quite some Time. Then not so Happy. I didn’t see her much after that. Then she was gone.

Edward: I… I’m sorry. I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you.

Jenny: It’s all right. You’re here now. And we’re on an Adventure!

Edward: Only a little One, I hope. I couldn’t handle too many more Surprises.

Jenny: Do you think we’ll see a Whale?

Edward: Yes. There’s a very good chance.

Jenny: Hm! And what about Pirates? Will I see Pirates?

Edward: No. There’s not much chance of that, I think.

Jenny: Oh. That’s rather sad. I should have liked to have seen One.

Edward: Tell you what, Jenny. As soon as these Winds die a little bit, I’ll let you steer the Jackdaw. One little Trick at the Helm before Sundown.

Jenny: Yay!

Arno: Can’t I go with you, Father?

Charles: Courage, my boy.

Charles: You wait just here.

I will return when this hand reaches the top.

Arno: That’s forever!

Charles: Not as long as all that. And when I get back, we’ll see the fireworks.

And Arno? No ‘exploring,’ hmm?

Arno: Yes, Father.

Philippe: Aveline, out and about as always.

Aveline: But home to rest, now, Papa.

Philippe: Monsieur Blanc tells me you do a great service to my business– to our business, for it will be your husband’s some day.

Aveline: Oh, Papa… You know I should sooner mind my own business than marry.

Philippe: As stubborn as your mother, Jeanne. If only she could see you now…

Aveline: But she can’t.

Philippe: No. But perhaps you are old enough now… It is not much. One page. But it is from her diary. You should have it.

Aveline: Maman…

Happy Father’s Day!

invictusmanet replied to your post “Quick question

i’d say be consistent with how you tag, ‘of siwa’ works similarly to ‘da firenze’ for ezio. if you use da firenze for him, use ‘of siwa’ for bayek. otherwise simply bayek, in my opinion.

I always found “da Firenze” to be redundant when “Ezio Auditore” is unique enough where you won’t find results of a non-Assassin’s Creed Ezio Auditore, which is why I tag Connor posts as “Connor Kenway” and “Ratonhnhaketon” despite the former not being his official name and I can’t add the special characters on the latter.

I’m not sure if “Bayek” alone would be unique enough when doing a general search on here. Google says he’s the only Bayek but that’s because it thinks Assassin’s Creed is the only thing I search for (it’s not wrong lol).

Quick question

When tagging posts about Bayek, would you prefer them to be tagged as “Bayek” or “Bayek of Siwa”?

Edit: Prefer as in which tag would you type in if you were to search for posts about Bayek, not necessarily which one “sounds” or “looks” better.
