Here’s a quick Japanese lesson to understand the joke: the Japanese word for 9 o’clock is kuji and the word for whale is kujira.

So the song goes that a seagull is flying over an ocean one day when it sees a whale and asks, “Yo Whale, do you know what time it is?” The whale, being the hilarious mammal it wishes it was, goes “Ima kujiraaaaa!” which basically means “It’s WHAAAAALE o’clock” before back flipping away like it just won a sass off.

…I realized it’s not very funny when there needs an explanation.

I ran across this while looking for something else and I can’t remember why I even made this.

“Your employer’s promises are nothing but hot air. And his operations are about to turn… PEAR-shaped!”

“When a hot air balloons fails, it turns PEAR-shaped.”

“When the hot air cools, the balloon takes the shape of a PEAR.”

“Before a balloon crashes, it resembles a PEAR.”

“I only said a PEAR!”

“Do you not know what a PEAR looks like?!”
