Do you speak in another language? Do you know how to say “nothing is true everything is permitted” in that language?

Yup, I speak Japanese. The Creed’s maxim is something like:

「真実はなく、許されぬことなどない」
(shinjitsu wa naku, yurusarenu koto nado nai)

which roughly translates to “There is neither truth nor such thing forbidden.”

(My Japanese to English translation skills are terrible, haha.)

Hi, I have a quick question – it’s not really a request but I could not find an answer anywhere on your blog. In “Home of the Brotherhood” on the ACII soundtrack around the 00:54 mark, do you know what that sound effect was used for in the game? It’s driving me crazy trying to figure it out. Thanks for any help!

I really don’t know. I always thought it was part of the tracks or kind of a progress sound in side missions whenever you discover something like the Assassin’s Tombs in AC2 (I think that’s where you hear it the most).

Daniel’s character in AC3 makes barely any sense unless you do all the conversations in modern day, and only makes complete sense if you’ve read the comics. That’s fine for me, since I did both those things, but I felt kinda sorry for those who didn’t want to do all the side content but still wanted to understand the story.

You know what I just thought of? They could have added a digital download of the comics for preordering AC3 so there won’t be people going, “So who the hell is Daniel Cross?” (- Desmond Miles).

However, I feel like there’s enough people that listened to all the modern-day conversations and read the comics to be curious enough (or more like agonizing) to know more about Daniel and get extra screen time.

While I appreciate the link, I… don’t have ACR for PC ._. I play it on PS3. It’s why I asked if there was anyway you could send the audio files to me. Like, I don’t mind sifting through all the soundbytes myself, I’d just need the audio in some sort of file, I guess (again, I’ve no idea how it works; is that possible? would I need a program to read that file?). Sorry to keep bothering you with this btw ^^;

Sorry, I completely misread your last question (had an annoying day with technology, haha).

The reason I don’t send audio files because they’re way too big to be uploaded onto a file hosting site. My internet connection has been giving out lately (hence my semi-sporadic posting), so it’ll take a while for it to be uploaded onto an unlimited space hosting site.

But if you have any suggestions, come off of Anon and so I can PM you if you don’t mind because not many people like having asks cluttering up their dashboards. xP If you can’t for whatever reason, just send me your email address or something and I’ll contact you from there.

I see, thanks for answering ^^ The reason I asked is I’ve been trying to get the multiplayer articles on the official wiki as in-depth as possible and I’ve always enjoyed the characters’ taunts. Does a “.pck” file encompass the soundbytes of the entire game, or is it for a specific segment? I have no idea how complicated extractions are, but is there any way you could send them to me? If that’s not possible, I completely understand ^^;
