One of the previous asks about Desmond’s son mentioned having a time skip to 10 years from now and we get to play as him in the modern day, I don’t think we need the time skip, I actually think playing as a child learning that he’s part of an Assassin bloodline and learning how to become an assassin would be kind of interesting, we already had Connor learn to be an assassin during his teen years so this could probably work too.

Yeah, but that means we’ll see another mom die again.

sorry that i haven’t be following close to the story for some time, but who is this “desmond jr.” and what is going on currently in modern day??? thanks!!

In Syndicate’s Animus database, there’s a conversation between Isabelle Ardant and Alvaro Gramatica where they found a 10-year-old boy who happens to be a Sage that shares Desmond’s patrilineal line through his visit to a clinic (his name hasn’t been revealed. I’m calling him Desmond Jr. for the sake of simplicity).

And everyone lost their shit.

What is your opinion on modern day AC? I feel like save for the story of Rogue, there has been little progression in seeing the story move beyond the past. Truth be told, I think a time jump to 2025 and Desmond’s illegitimate son could be a boon to the franchise’s modern day story. I just think it’s going too slowly and has deterred me from taking AC seriously lately. Do you feel the same?

For all we know, there’s a chance that we’ll be playing as Desmond Jr. in the near future, or at least be introduced to him. However, I think there’s too many things going on to be considered “slow” or make a conclusion about where it’s exactly going and how it’s going to end (not that the series is ending anytime soon). And I don’t think the next one is going to answer any old, burning questions.

I’m still disappointed that they decided to end Desmond’s story, but I personally like the concept of you, the player, being part of the present day story. I wish the portion in Unity and Syndicate were more interactive like in Black Flag and Rogue though. Hopefully they’ll bring that back.

delusional anon here, I definitely believe you that the scene doesn’t exist I was just looking for confirmation. I remember it in my head so clearly that I thought maybe it did happen, but then again my first play through of ac3 was back in 2013. I wish the scene was real, haytham struggling to pronounce Connors name would’ve been hilarious!

If such scene did exist, that would’ve been one of the first things I post on here, hahaha.
