So I started Freedom Cry for the first time last night and one that that I really like is how much the music differs drastically from Black Flag and makes it feel more like its own game. A lot of the singing reminds me of Princess and the Frog in a way which is nice and the combat music is a lot more heroic which I guess makes sense and I like it a lot.

Freedom Cry can be considered it’s own game in the series since the standalone version was released not long after it being released as a DLC. It had a different writer and composer for it after all. (:

Most (if not, all) of the murder ballads heard in pubs are found in the official soundtracks from what I’ve gone through so far… unless you’re asking about the songs found in the collector’s edition soundtrack.
