Listening to Origin’s main theme, it reminds me of one big reason I always love AC music and that’s it’s ability to fuse together both the style of whatever location the game is set in and electronic/trance music. In this case, it’s like what if Egypt was in the Tron world.

The plot or the gameplay may not always be favorable, but the soundtracks will always be one of the best things about the Assassin’s Creed franchise (:

What were your thoughts on the AC movie? I heard critics panned it as garbage but I was wondering if there was any future of the story itself within the movie. Disclaimer: I haven’t watched it yet. I think its available on HBO so I may give it a watch.

I wrote a short review about it before (note: spoilers from the movie are mentioned).

If you don’t want to read spoilers, I would say the movie covers the main conflict between the Assassins and Templars, but fails to delve deep into it despite “slow scenes” where they could have given a better explanation so audiences that never played the games wouldn’t be too lost or frustrate the fans.

I’m not entirely sure what you mean by “any future of the story.” If you mean if the movie will be mentioned in the games, then yes. It was confirmed that the movie is canon as it predominately follows the modern day story, but they would have to cover quite a lot of missing information that was not addressed in the movie if they decide to mention it in the games.

Also, I recommend reading the novelization of the movie after watching it (it’s written by the author that wrote Unity’s Employee Handbook and Blackbeard’s journal). But you might find yourself disappointed that a lot of information in the book didn’t make it to the final cut of the movie.

RE: Something to think about — Have you watched the “Into the Creed” documentary video that was released a few weeks ago? What did you think of it?

I thought the documentary made a good point about how you will always find people who cannot understand what you’re into. Regardless of your passion–whether it be video game related or not–there’s no point of explaining to them what you’re into, especially if they’re not willing to understand it. It’ll only cause unnecessary frustration if you try.

However, you will also find people who do understand and share your passion. Whether you contribute very little or exceedingly, these people are happy to have you in their community. Hopefully they will give you the best memories or help you through the bad moments in your life. As one of the fans said, move on from those who can’t understand and go find and surround yourself with like minded people.

Today I had group stuff in class with my crush I was slowly getting over (something I was happy with) & the feels hit me again like a train T_T

There’s nothing wrong with having a crush (whether they know about it or not). But if it’s something you really want to get over with, hope your group projects ends well and soon… And be on good terms with your soon-to-be ex-crush because group projects consists of people you never want to be in the same room with ever again.

Do you think if Achilles actually sat Shay down and had a meaningful talk after the Lisbon incident (rather than yelling at him to put the book down) that things could’ve turned out different? (It’s been a while so I don’t remember how the scene exactly went, but it was a lot of angry yelling that led to Shay being chased to the cliff)

Even if Shay and Achilles did sat down and talked about what happened in Lisbon, I don’t think the outcome would’ve changed that much. Shay was pretty vocal about his doubts regarding the Creed and feeling that Achilles doesn’t trust him. The latter thought is probably due to his arrogance because he and the Assassins know that he has prodigious ability and skills with great potentials to become a high ranking Assassin. But his attitude was a major turn off to many of them.

Shay would’ve still left the Assassins and taken the manuscript with him, possibility without being chased to the edge of the cliff and be left for dead after getting shot in the back. But that wouldn’t be Assassin’s Creed if we didn’t have a dramatic turning point for the main character lol.
