i just wanna tell you that you’re really hardcore, being so passionate about these things you do and keep doing for all these years, don’t get me wrong i really appreciate what you’re doing, but don’t you get tired of ac and ubisoft now? ac is not what it was like before and it seems like it would just keep going down. do you still like them? how do you still being so passionate about it?

Thank you. And I’m a dog, so everything I do and find is hardcore.

But all bad jokes aside… yes, I do believe the series is not what it was like before. However, I personally don’t think it’s “going down” as you say.

(Unless you’re on mobile, the rest is under the cut)

Slightly digressing, I think there’s been strong voices of negativity since AC3 because there’s no sense of familiarity from the times of Ezio and Altaïr; we got new protagonists, new eras, new storyline, new gameplay, new “views” of the Assassin’s Creed and Templar Order, etc. I think it was around the time they announced AC3, but I remember Ubisoft mention something like they wanted to do something new and different to bring together old and new players. Because of this new direction in the series, it’s fun and exciting to see not only new concepts in each game, but finding – and hopefully meeting – people with the same amount of enthusiasm I have for the games. I guess you can say that’s where most of my passion comes from and why I’m still run this blog today.

HOWEVER, as much as I love the series, the fans – sometimes the same people – ruins it for me. The constant scream off of what’s wrong with the game and Ubisoft, the petition for Connor’s sequel, unnecessary criticism on people for expressing their opinions, the call to “boycott” Unity and Ubisoft because “Arno doesn’t have a French accent”/“French Revolution is a shit choice”/“the quality looks terrible”/“they’re only releasing it on next-gen consoles”, the rather sloppy statement about the lack of gender diversity… holy crap, man.

I’m not saying that everyone should suck it up and pretend there’s nothing wrong, but a lot of people seem to have forgotten that it is a VIDEO GAME. I can assure you the world will not end (like it almost did in AC3) because the series is not going the way you want it to. And let’s be real: complaining doesn’t do jack squat except increase view count and comments on a Youtube video.

So do I get tired of Assassin’s Creed? I do. Though all it takes is walking away from my computer for several hours or days before I’m back on here… along with some mass blacklisting and unfollowing. Also, I like to believe to that the amount of love people have for Assassin’s Creed – or any game – outweighs whatever hate other people have for it… and the blog will always be here as long as that is the case.

P.S. I love you followers. Just don’t be assholes to each other, okay? ❤

really stupid question, sorry! but what’s the difference between ROGUE and UNITY. i’m asking this because i didn’t know about rogue and i don’t understand why it was released the same day of unity. i’m not that into in the games nowdays (i still have to play revelations haha)

Haha, it’s alright. I can’t say too much about either games since I’m not finished with them (my copy of Unity is coming today due to a mishap).

The main differences between Unity and Rogue are that Unity takes place during the French Revolution and Rogue around the Seven Years’ War. You mentioned that you haven’t played Revelations, but if you know anything about the later series, Rogue is a sequel to AC Black Flag with ties to AC3 and Unity.

The protagonist for Unity is Arno Dorian, who joins the Assassins to investigate the death of his adoptive father. Rogue is Shay Cormac, an Assassin turned Templar who vows to hunt down every Assassin possible (you’ll have to play the game to find out why he joined the Templars).

Also, Unity is the first game in the series to introduce to co-op play and Rogue doesn’t have multiplayer sessions. Originally, Unity was suppose to be released on October 28, but was delayed to November 11 in North America to “hone some of the details to make sure Assassin’s Creed Unity is exceptional” (people can argue about the “real” reason for the delay, but that’s the official reason). November 11 also happened to be the same release date as Rogue, which they didn’t change.

I know I didn’t give much information for either games (or else some people might murder me for giving away spoilers), but hopefully it’s enough to convince you to get back into video games?
